                                              Henryk Fantazos was born in Kamionka Strumilowa near Lvov in what was then Poland in 1944. From 1957 to 1963, he attended the Lyceum of Fine Arts in Katowice, Poland, and in 1963 was admitted to the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, where he studied at the Painting Faculty under the eminent Professor J. Nowosielski. In 1969 he received his Master's Degree. Since then, he has worked as a painter and, more recently, as an engraver, organizing one-man shows and taking part in many group showings in Poland and international exhibitions throughout Europe and the United States. In 1975 he immigrated to the United States and now resides in Hillsborough, North Carolina.
